This last month was busy for the team as they attended several key events. Seafood Scotland recently attended the North-East Food & Drink Awards, the Fishing News Awards, and Scottish Skipper Expo.
At the Expo we served up delicious Scottish seafood tasters – seared scallops, haddock tacos, breaded scampi, butter-basted langoustine tails. And Cullen Skink – made by Industry Engagement Manager Jeni Adamson’s gran – also went down a treat!
The food was enjoyed by all from apprentices to experienced fishermen, from suppliers and distributors, and included Scotland’s Rural Affairs Secretary Mairi Gougeon who signed a pledge to protect and support Scotland’s vital fishing industry and coastal communities.
We also recently took part in the very successful Aquaculture UK event held in Aviemore. Together with our friends at the Global Seafood Alliance, we were able to promote the Responsible Seafood Summit being held in St Andrews, this October.
