The Far East represents a growing and exciting market for Scottish seafood producers. Over the last few years, the industry has seen exports grow dramatically in this market; with some species sales increasing by nine fold.
The Japan International Seafood & Technology Expo 2024 provides a brilliant platform for Scottish producers to make further in roads into this market. This event in Tokyo attracts over 35,000 visitors each year, including Japanese and international buyers from across Asia. For this year, Seafood Scotland, delivered in partnership with Seafish and the UK Government, are inviting Scottish companies to join our pavilion.
Participating companies will be eligible for a fully funded pod on the pavilion and will also be invited to a buyer reception at the British Embassy in Tokyo. In-market specialist support will be available from Scottish Development International and the Department for Business & Trade.
In addition to company pods, the pavilion will house a demonstration kitchen where your product will be showcased throughout the event, and we’ll also have a communal display fridge to promote company products.
